Ashley Sanders started building guitars in his teens, when he had a part time job with a guitar repairer for a year, then he studied to be a cabinetmaker and went on to build bespoke furniture.

After a long absence from guitar building he felt the urge to build himself an acoustic guitar. He has studied with John Price, and he has subsequently developed his own style,  adjusting the building process to suit his preferences. His guitars retain as much as possible of the tonal qualities inherent in his chosen woods, and his instruments balance the sweetness of a fan braced guitar, with the projection of lattice bracing.
